This site serves as an archive of my writing and art that’s already found a place in the world. Over 80 pieces of my creative writing—mostly fiction, but also some poetry and memoir—have been published or are forthcoming from journals and anthologies including Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine, Pithead Chapel and Nanosim. For links to some of my work, go to the Writing page.
I earned my MA in English and Creative Writing with a focus on Fiction from Longwood University in 2009. Since then, I’ve taught university-level English/writing and worked as a book designer, bookseller, tutor, editor, writing coach and freelance writer, as well as served on the editorial staff of SPACES and Tiny Text. In 2018, I finished my MFA in Fiction from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and now I’m happy to serve as a writing teacher and as Fiction Editor for the Santa Fe Literary Review.
I’m revising my first novel right now and probably also writing flash fiction and taking photos. If you’d like to buy prints or collaborate on a project, get in touch anytime via the Contact page or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
